Privacy and Confidentiality
Network Rehabilitation Group which includes Rehabilitation Support Services abides by the obligations imposed under federal law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act) and the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 (Cth) (NDIS Act).
The Privacy Act authorises collection of personal information where this is required to create a person-centred support plan and facilitate quality supports. This information will be shared with NRG staff who require this information to carry out their duties. Only when required or authorised by law will your information be shared without your consent.
Collection and storage of personal information
Network Rehabilitation Group collects personal information through a variety of different methods including, paper-based forms, electronic forms (including online forms), face to face meetings, telephone communications, email communications, communications by fax; and the Rehabilitation Support Services website.
NRG holds personal information in a range of paper-based and electronic records. Storage of personal information (and the disposal of information when no longer required) is managed in accordance with the Archives Act 1983, Records Authorities and General Disposal Authorities. This ensures that we hold your personal information securely.
Access to your personal information
You may access the personal information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your personal information, please contact us in writing.
